Sue Pope was born and brought up in Kitimat. She stays connected with the north, through very dear friends that keep her coming back to visit from time to time. After living in various towns and cities throughout BC and Alberta, Sue now reside in Qualicum Beach and feels very fortunate to be able to enjoy the beauty of the mountains and the ocean on a daily basis. Living green and doing whatever we can for the environment is certainly the way of today. Some years ago, while riding transit in Calgary, she would watch people trying to carry yoga mats, briefcases and bags and hence came the idea of the Yoga Saki (Yoga /Pilate mat bags). Different from the commercially sold bags, these unique bags are made in a wide variety of colors and fabrics, new and recycled, and are handcrafted in her home in Qualicum Beach. The Yoga Saki has an adjustable strap, a large front pocket and a top pull-type closure that is adorned with decorative beads. Currently retailing in various studios and galleries throughout BC, these bags also retail at various seasonal markets across Vancouver Island.
